Friday 16 August

Boss: Dancehall Special

Where: Paradiso, Weteringschans 6-8, 1017 SG Amsterdam

Dunno about you, but here at Lost we love to get down at a good dancehall boogie… and a dancehall boogie inside Paradiso’s legendary walls? Even better. That’s what’s on offer this Friday, as Paradiso celebrates a special dancehall edition of its regular Boss club night. Be careful, this one is set to be hotter than fiy-ahhh!

Saturday 17 August

Straf Werk Festival

Where: Havenpark, Wethouder van Essenweg, Amsterdam

Straf Werf Festival has carved out quite a name for itself in it’s six years of existence as one of the most happening new dance festivals in Amsterdam. And for it’s seventh edition, the folks at SWF are holding nothing back. This year the line up is bigger and better than ever, with house heavyweights Adriatique, Len Faki and Hot Since ’82 headlining the bill. Havenpark will be looking fresh from Friday onwards so you can dance your heart out under the stars. We’ll drink to that!

Sunday 18 August

Pluk de Nacht Film Festival

Het Stenen Hoofd, Westerdoksdijk 705-C, 1013 BX Amsterdam

Film buffs rejoice, Pluk de Nacht is here again! This annual festival showcases some of the worlds best undiscovered cinema, under the stars! Initially created after organisers realised the enormity of cinematic art left unseen, they decided to bring it to us… on a giant screen, in a waterside location, covered only by a balmy summer night in the Dam! And for this, we are eternally grateful. They even provide deckchairs, campfires, BBQs, drinks, and a post-film disco! That certainly sounds like an idyllic Sunday to us. Entrance is free, but you can head to the Pluk de Nacht website to reserve chairs and check out the programme — which looks as sublime as the setup!
