Each year, as the cold sets in and the days get shorter, something magical happens when night falls on the canals of Amsterdam.... They are transformed into a mesmerizing display of light art, designed by some of the worlds top architects, designers and artists. The incredible light art exhibition will be centered around this years theme: Disrupt! Despite our tendency to avoid it, disruption often provokes us to question the norm, becoming a vital catalyst for change. In this years edition of the renowned festival, artists interpret the need for disruption within our troubled world through a dazzling array of works dotted around the city. From interactive street installations to transformative displays on the city’s architecture, each work is designed to give us a new and illuminated perspective not only on Amsterdam, but on the world around us too. There are various routes to discover, each as magical and mind bending as the rest. A little disruption might be just what we need to get fired up this winter!
